Q: What is included with membership?
A: Every unit will come with a CD of all of the music we enjoy in class, a copy of our story, and a parent resource/home activity book. Alternating units will include an instrument or manipulative.This allows you to revisit activities from class and continue to make memories with your family at home.
Q: Are there activities outside of class?
A: There are added value events for enrolled families, such as Seasonal Celebrations and Kindermusik with Grandfriends. You are also welcome to participate in FPC activities for families.
Q: Do you take time off for Holidays?
A: Time off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and Easter, as well as my professional development and personal leave are built in to the calendar.
Q: What if class is cancelled due to inclement weather?
A: The calendar includes 3 extra days available if class is cancelled. If we don't ever have to cancel class, they remain in the calendar as an added value for you.
Q: What if we miss class due to vacation or illness?
A: You are welcome to schedule a makeup class with me in any other studio class, or attend a Kindermusik with Grandfriends class as a makeup. An exception is Foundations class, which for safety reasons, is not available as a makeup class for Level 1 and Level 2 students.
Q: Are food/snacks/drinks allowed in your during classtime?
A: Preferably not, due to safety (food allergies, choking), and hygiene (everybody will want your kiddo's sippy cup), and distraction ("I see goldfish! I'm hungry now!")
There will always be times we need to be flexible with lovies and pacifiers, nursing in class has never been an issue, and you will often see me sipping water or hot tea to take care of my voice.
Q: What ages do you teach?
A: Classes are available for children newborn to age 4.
Q: Are the different levels required?
A: No, they are for that general age range, and there are no prerequisites.
Q: When do you have classes?
A: Monday or Thursday mornings from September to June. New session will run Aug 2019 to May 2020.
Q: How much are classes?
A: For your convenience, your membership is set at a flat rate of $65 per month from September through June. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $25. New pricing will be $68 per month August 2019 to May 2020.
Q: When is your enrollment period?
A: You may enroll any time. There is no late fee. Enrollment is pro-rated.
Q: Can I pay by the class or drop in?
A: No. Kindermusik with Gina is an ongoing membership. Our research-driven curriculum is designed to benefit you and your child through consistent attendance.
Q: Can I enroll more than one child?
A: Yes. Siblings in the same class are eligible for a sibling discount of 50%. Newborns attend with older siblings for free provided they are in a carrier and you are hands-free to participate with your older child.
Q: Can I pay by check or cash?
A: No. All payments are by automatic draft of your credit or debit card, or by gift certificate.
Q: May I preview a class before enrolling?
A: Yes, you may register for a paid preview class as available on the previous webpage. If you enroll before you leave, your preview fee will be applied to your first month's tuition!
Q: If I'm enrolled, may I bring a friend to try a class?
A:Yes, please have your friend sign up for a paid preview (see previous question.) If they enroll on your referral, YOU receive 50% off your next month's tuition!
Q: If I'm enrolled, may I bring family members?
A: We welcome adult family members any time to enjoy class with you. School aged siblings are allowed in an emergency- please get in touch with me in advance.
Q: What is your sick policy?
A: . If you or your child is sick, please be considerate of other children and adults in our classes and stay home to get better. You/your child should be fever-free for 24 hours and have no contagious characteristics (rash, drainage, etc.)
Please note that I am committed to ensuring that participation is safe for all those involved, and to a classroom that is clean and healthy for your family (surfaces and instruments are disinfected at least weekly).
Q: What if we need to unenroll?
A: I can cancel your enrollment for you and all of your materials are yours to keep. Please let me know that you need to cancel BY THE LAST DAY OF THE MONTH prior to when you want to unenroll.
Example, you are moving to a new state in February; let me know by January 31st. This allows us time to talk about the remaining classes in our unit and what will be best for your family, and cancel the autodraft.
