Feeling the Love

As always, our visit with the clients at ElderCenter Inc. was a treat. And we enjoyed decorating some treats after our Kindermusik with Grandfriends class!

Our final class until fall will be FRIDAY APRIL 24 at 11am. On this day Eldercenter will be hosting their annual PORT-A-PIT Fundraiser. Plan to stay and have lunch with our Grandfriends and support this event. If you can’t stay, buy some take-home plates.

I cannot wait to share with you my photos, videos, and souvenirs from the beautiful continent and country. I was inspired to provide this fundraiser by my colleague Christa Beck who held a playdate to benefit Australian wildlife. Christa always has the best ideas to use Kindermusik to be helpful to others.

After listening to this heartbreaking interview with Gemma Carey about the dread of being pregnant under the Australian capital of Canberra’s smoky, orange sky, I began thinking about how families and children are being impacted by the bush fires, even though they are now mostly contained.  The Australian Red Cross has long term plans in place to help individuals and communities recover from the bush fires.

All proceeds from the playdate will go to the Australian Red Cross.

You will receive an instrument, a download card for ten free Kindermusik songs, a coloring sheet, and we will create a project using Aboriginal Art techniques.

This playdate is on the MONDAY of Spring Break and is for all ages 6months to 7 years so tell your friends! Space is limited to 15 children. Cost is $25 per child (no sibling rates). REGISTER TODAY!

Photo Policy

Everyone who enrolls in Kindermusik with Gina is given the opportunity to accept my studio’s policies regarding my use of images. (It reads: You have my permission to use photos or video of myself or my child taken at Kindermusik with Gina classes or special events.  I understand names will not be used without my permission.)

If you have declined giving this permission, we certainly respect your preference. It is noted in our online roster and we do our best to be aware of this during class. But as you know, classes are so much more than photo ops and we need your help as your child’s SAFEKEEPER to speak up if you see photos/videos being made by your teacher or other parents and offer a kindly reminder that you prefer no photos.

If you yourself would like to take a photo or video during class, please focus on your child and do a courtesy check with other parents if their children are in the shot and if they prefer you not post on social media.

Allie and I strive to provide the best experience for you during class. Between the two of us, we see 125 students each week! While we are singing, setting up instruments, sharing dance instructions, mentioning benefit statements, and loving every minute with your children, we might not recall off the top of our heads who has not given photo permissions. Thank you for your help with this effort to make sure all families are happy and comfortable.

Thanks for reading, sharing, and commenting. Don’t forget to enroll for classes in Mooresville and Statesville. New classes start August but some classes have openings now!

I hope your week starts off with a sweet song in your heart. ~g

Rest in Peace Miss Camilla Scott
